This aligns with the workplace having in place the correct policies and procedures that are up to date and relevant to not only the industry but also the environment both internally and externally. Keeping up to date with changes and requirements across Industry and Fair work Compliance is a top priority to ensure top-level advice is delivered. The world as we know it is changing and we need to keep adapting and be agile in what next.

I have spent the last ten years + working in my own business. I chose this as an option for the flexibility to be there for my daughters as they grew up. It has been an amazing learning curve and one that I would not have changed. Personal and professional growth is an amazing thing. I have also been extremely lucky at this time to be accepted as a Lecturer at Griffith University as a Sessional Lecturer and Tutor. I love inspiring the next generation and passing on my skills and knowledge. The feedback from students has always inspired me to be better and do more - leaving a legacy. The background of life experience and educational qualifications has given me insights into not only how workplace experience shapes business outcomes, but also how an employee’s life experience, drivers and their own qualifications can influence results as well as behaviors. I am not one to sit back and accept what is but instead have a growth mindset that sees me now completing a Bachelor of Law. I spend hours reading. learning, growing - there is so much more to come.

I see myself as more than an expert in my field instead as a business partner working with businesses to deal with employment matters quickly and efficiently while ensuring compliance with the complex world of workplace legislation. I think ahead to the outcome and works towards it- if you have a dismissal I am thinking about defending an unfair dismissal claim and making sure that one would never succeed in what we do today. I think on my feet and are versed at forming sound arguments and conversation dialogues. I like to approach a situation like a helicopter, looking down from above - what we see in front of us may not be what is the truth.
